Which printers work

These printers should work in principle: each uses a printing method this software speaks. None of them has been tested on a real printer by us yet, so print a test ticket before you rely on one, and ask us before you buy. Our own checks so far use simulated printers only: they show the tickets are sent in each printer's documented format, not that a particular model prints them.

Low-cost Bluetooth printers: many work, because they understand ESC/POS, the common receipt-printer language. Some don't, and nobody can promise every cheap printer works. They need an Android tablet with RawBT kept on with Live orders open; a printer we can't see is never shown as ready.

Network printers that aren't cloud printers (most low-cost LAN printers): our server is on the internet and can't reach a printer inside your shop's network, so they print through RawBT on your Android tablet too, which can reach them.

Prices are rough UK prices for a new printer, for comparison only. You buy and own any printer yourself.
