Taking orders on the Live orders screen

Links to your dashboard ask you to log in first.

Keep Live orders open on a tablet or laptop in the shop. Tap Start taking orders each time you open it, because browsers only allow sound after a tap. Press Test sound to check the volume.

• New orders ring and flash until someone accepts or rejects them.
• Accept by tapping how long it will take (e.g. 30 min). The customer's order page updates straight away with the time.
• Reject with a reason the customer will see. Paid card orders are refunded automatically.
• Move orders on with Ready to collect, Out for delivery and Completed. The customer sees each step.
• Pause new orders when you're slammed. Customers can still see your menu and your phone number.
• If you're on another page, like Menu, a red banner and a beep still tell you about new orders.

Use a device that only does this job, plugged in, with auto-lock turned off. Phones and tablets pause pages you switch away from, so don't use it for other apps during service.
