Test an order from start to finish
Before you go live, try the whole journey once: customer orders on a phone → your tablet rings → you accept → the ticket prints → the customer's phone updates. Nothing is charged in test mode.
- Get the tablet ready: the order app open and Start taking orders tapped (see Put the order app on an Android tablet). Printer set up if you have one (see Set up and test your kitchen printer).
- Open test order mode on your phone. Sign in to your dashboard on your phone and go to Set up → Test and go live → Open your page in test mode. A banner says Test order mode.
- Order like a customer: choose dishes with their options, go to the basket, enter a name and phone number, and press Place order.
- Accept it on the tablet. It rings and shows the order marked TEST. Tap Accept, pick a time, and check the ticket prints.
- Follow it on the phone. The order page on your phone updates when you accept it, then when you mark it Ready or Out for delivery, and Completed.
Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay: once card payments are switched on for you and your Stripe account is connected (Settings → Payments → Connect Stripe), customers can choose Pay now: card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Apple Pay shows on iPhones and Macs with a card in Wallet; Google Pay on Android. The money goes into your own Stripe account; Stripe charges its own card fee.
When everything works, use Ask to go live in your dashboard and we'll check it with you.
